developing low pressure over the Bahamas drifting north... At 930 PM...developing low pressure over the northern Bahamas was drifting slowly northward. Showers and occasional squalls over the Florida Straits and the Bahamas will affect the space and Treasure coasts inland to Lake Okeechobee and Osceola County. Easterly winds around 20 mph over the Atlantic...and 15 to 20 mph and gusty over the beaches and coasts of east central Florida will help push showers and occasional squalls onshore along the space and Treasure coasts including Osceola and Okeechobee counties. Squalls gusting to 30 to 35 mph or so...will spread slowly northward over the Treasure and space coasts...with more isolated activity near Volusia County and inland toward Kissimmee-Saint Cloud and Orlando. Some locally heavier downpours of nearly two inches could produce some ponding of water on roads from Brevard County southward to Indian River...Saint Lucie and Martin counties. Along the beaches and over the Atlantic...20 knot winds will keep seas generally in the 6 to 8 feet range. A building east-northeast swell will produce rough...choppy surf...numerous strong rip currents...and possibly some beach erosion around the time of tonight's high tide near 1000 PM through around 2 am.
