Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop through 5 PM across much of the central and eastern Texas and Oklahoma panhandles. Thunderstorms are expected to affect location in and around Perryton...Spearman...Bryans Corner...and Borger. The storms will be capable of producing hail...strong and gusty winds...and deadly cloud to ground lightning. Any of the thunderstorms may become strong to severe this afternoon and this evening. Rainfall amounts will average between one tenth and one quarter of an inch with locally heavier amounts up to one half inch possible from the stronger storms. Additional showers and thunderstorms will develop across the remainder of the Texas and Oklahoma panhandles through this evening ahead of a dryline as it slowly mixes eastward across the western panhandles.
