High Wind Watch
Expires 8:00 PM MST on November 23, 2014

Statement as of 2:50 PM MST on November 22, 2014

... High wind watch remains in effect from Sunday morning through
Sunday evening...

A high wind watch remains in effect from Sunday morning through
Sunday evening.

* Timing... winds will increase through Sunday morning... and
become strongest Sunday afternoon. Winds will gradually
subside through Sunday evening.

* Winds... northwest 30 to 40 mph with gusts to around 60 mph.

* Other conditions... scattered snow showers may result in
isolated areas of significantly reduced visibility in snow and
wind.

* Impacts... the high winds can damage roofs... small
outbuildings... and signs. Sudden wind gusts can cause drivers
to lose control... especially in lightweight or high profile
vehicles. Strong winds can cause blowing dust... reduced
visibility... and flying debris.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A high wind watch means 40 mph winds... or gusts over 60 mph are
possible... but the timing or area is still uncertain. If your
activities are affected by strong winds... monitor a local source
of weather information for updated forecasts. Move lightweight
objects indoors before the winds increase so they are not
destroyed or cause damage.
