Now Multiple bands of thunderstorms...some with hail...strong gusty winds and very heavy to intense rain showers are moving across south central Minnesota...from Jackson to Fairmont...Albert Lea and Owatonna. The storms with the most intense rain showers and hail are located near Fairmont and should move across Blue Earth...Minnesota Lake... and Ellendale between now and reaching Owatonna before 500 am. Heaviest rain falls are half an inch to and inch an hour across southern parts of south central Minnesota near I-90. Otherwise...widely scattered areas of light rain showers are falling across most of Minnesota...and western Wisconsin this morning. Most of these showers are evaporating before reaching the ground. Estimated rain fall rates are light...from a trace to a few hundredths of an inch. |
