Synopsis For Far Southern California Coast
At 3 am PDT...a 990 mb low was over Death Valley and a 1034 mb high was about 1300 nm west of San Francisco. A coastal eddy will continue to bring southerly winds over the inner coastal waters through Friday morning. A low pressure system will move south over California through Saturday morning. The associated cold front moving through Southern California will result in strengthening west to northwest winds over the coastal waters Friday through early Saturday morning. The strong and gusty winds will produce steep waves. The steep waves and gusty winds will cause hazardous sea conditions for mariners navigating small craft. Weak to moderate onshore flow will return late Saturday and persist through Tuesday.
