Synopsis For The Suwannee River To Destin Out To 60 Nm
Synopsis
Fairly light easterly winds this afternoon will be on the increase overnight as they slowly veer to the south ahead of an approaching cold front. By daybreak Tuesday...the winds should be close to 20 knots south of Destin...to 10 to 15 knots east of Apalachicola and in Apalachee Bay. With the elevated winds more likely to the west of Apalachicola...an exercise caution headline has been inserted in those coastal zones. With strong onshore flow on Tuesday and building surf to around 3 to 5 feet...there should be an increased risk of strong rip currents at the beaches. The cold front will be accompanied by some rain and a few thunderstorms. Some of the storms could produce some gusty winds. The front will stall near the Gulf Coast on Wednesday and linger in some fashion through Saturday. Therefore...the unsettled weather patter is likely to continue for the rest of the week.
