Statement as of 2:50 PM CDT on October 31, 2014

... Wind Advisory remains in effect until 6 PM CDT this evening...

* the strong north winds will gradually taper off for the rest of
the afternoon.

* Over Door County... sustained wind speeds of 20 to 35 mph with
gusts to around 45 mph will linger this afternoon before
tapering off late afternoon into this evening. The higher gusts
are expected along the shore of the Bay of Green Bay from
Washington Island to Fish Creek.

* Across the rest of east-central Wisconsin... sustained wind
speeds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts from 40 to 45 mph through the
middle of the afternoon will taper off during the remainder of
the afternoon. The higher gusts will be confined along the shore
of the Bay of Green Bay and near the Lake Michigan
shoreline... and possibly over bridges and over passes.

* The gusty winds will create hazardous driving conditions for
motorists with high profile vehicles for the remainder of the
afternoon hours.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that wind gusts in excess of 45 mph are
expected. Winds this strong can make driving difficult...
especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
