... A hot Memorial Day weekend is ahead for middle Tennessee...
The hottest weather so far this year is set to arrive in middle
Tennessee. High temperatures will reach the low to mid 90s
across most of the mid state throughout this Holiday weekend. Some
of these high temperatures could break records going back more
than 100 years. This heat will be produced by unusually strong high
pressure covering the region.
Since this period of hot weather is arriving rather early... and
many people will be outdoors... it is a good time to review heat
safety rules.
Some of the most important include...
Avoid strenuous activities during the hottest part of the day.
Take plenty of breaks and get out of the sun when you can.
Drink plenty of non alcoholic fluids.
Wear loose and lightweight clothing.
Never leave children or pets unattended in cars.
