The Flash Flood Watch continues for * portions of southeast Kansas and Missouri... including the following areas... in southeast Kansas... Cherokee. In Missouri... Barry... Christian... Dade... Dallas... Dent... Douglas... Greene... Howell... Jasper... Laclede... Lawrence... McDonald... Newton... Oregon... Ozark... Phelps... Polk... Pulaski... Shannon... stone... Taney... Texas... Webster and Wright. * Until 9 am CDT Tuesday * additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop tonight across portions of extreme southeastern Kansas and southern Missouri. Heavy rainfall will be possible across the region. Total rainfall amounts of one to two inches with locally higher amounts near three inches will be possible. The heaviest rainfall this evening and tonight is generally expected to occur along and south of the Interstate 44 corridor. * This excessive rainfall may result in flash flooding of small streams... low water crossings... and other flood prone areas. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation. You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should flash flood warnings be issued. |

05/20/2013 1223 am 1 miles WNW of Lockwood, Dade County. Tornado, reported by NWS storm survey. An EF-0 tornado touched down on the west side of Lockwood at The Golf Course and city pool area. This tornado tracked east-northeast to the north end of Sycamore St. A grocery store substained roof damage. Several trees were uprooted. A carport was thrown.
