Saturday morning...
A deep trough of low pressure will drop into the Great Basin this
weekend... and bring significantly cooler temperatures to northwest
California. A dry air mass in combination with clear skies... light
winds and longer nights will result in early morning temperatures
well below normal for the valleys and along the coast Saturday
morning. The first widespread frost of the season will be
possible... with early morning temperatures expected to fall
into the upper 20s to mid 30s. Even though the air mass is expected
to warm on Sunday... it will still be quite cold in the morning.
Those wishing to protect temperature sensitive vegetation should
consider those preparations at this time and keep informed of
later forecasts and potential advisories in subsequent days.
