Now At 11:14 am...National Weather Service Doppler radars continued to detect showers and thunderstorms moving across much of eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. The stronger storms were located in southeast Oklahoma...mainly south of a line extending from Ashland...to Heavener. Very heavy rainfall has fallen over this area...over 4 inches in some locations...leading to flooding of creeks and roadways under water. All this activity was moving toward the east...around 30 miles an hour. Through 12:30 PM...showers and thunderstorms will continue to spread east across the forecast area. The stronger storms will continue to produce very heavy rainfall...up to an inch per hour...along with hail and strong winds. Shower and storm activity is expected to intensify as we head into the early afternoon hours. | ||||
