At 5:42 am...Doppler radar indicated widespread light to occasionally moderate snow falling over most of eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas. The back edge of the initial area of snow was located along a line from Nowata to Muskogee to McAlester. A secondary band of snow...with possibly some sleet or freezing rain mixed in...was located west of a Pawhuska to Okemah line. All this activity was moving to the northeast at around 30 miles per hour. Through 6:45 am...occasional light to moderate snow will continue to affect most of eastern Oklahoma. Gusty south winds will be common with the snowfall...gusting in the 20 to 25 mile per hour range at times. A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for Benton...Washington... Madison...and Carroll counties in Arkansas until 6 PM this evening. A Winter Weather Advisory is also in effect for eastern Oklahoma and Sebastian...Crawford...and Franklin counties in Arkansas until 6 PM.

Ice accumulation of less than one tenth of an inch. Highs in the lower 30s. South winds 15 to 25 mph. Chance of precipitation near 100 percent.
