... Winter Weather Advisory now in effect until 9 PM CST this
evening...

The Winter Weather Advisory is now in effect until 9 PM CST this
evening.

* Timing... snow and sleet will continue and move east during the
morning hours. As warmer air moves north later this
afternoon... the precipitation will change over to a mix of
snow... sleet... and freezing rain for the afternoon into the
early evening hours. The precipitation will begin to taper off
later this evening... but drizzle and freezing drizzle will be
possible through the overnight hours.

* Snow accumulations... two to three inches of snow and sleet are
expected. Some locally higher amounts will be possible near the
Missouri border in the higher terrain.

* Ice accumulations... ice accumulations of up to one tenth of an
inch are possible... although just a few hundredths will be
more common.

* Impact... travel conditions will be treacherous... as roadways
become ice and snow covered.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
